hiatus.

i'm a bit sad to announce that seeing as i'm overwhelmingly busy this year, i think i have to give up the blog for a bit.
thankyou all so much for reading. it meant a lot to me.
so, i'll leave the site up, in case i feel like coming back to it later.
it was fun while it lasted, and something i'd definately pursue when it's more convenient and fits into my life.

Finally! Someone agreed to take me photos!
I've had a few outfits I liked lately, but I never seem to have the opportunity to photograph them.
I suppose I'll learn.

Last night, outside dan's house. We put the air conditioner on and watched TV and I ate avocado dip for dinner. Fantastic!

her makeup is a bit intense but apart from that she's perfect. like a piece of icing. with leather.

"life is what you make it."
if that's so, then why is it so hard to live the life you dream about? the life where i get to dedicate my time to the things i love. wearing uniform every day, collapsing exhausted on the couch to sleep for three hours when i get home, no time or energy to do anything much but going to and thinking about school. this is not the way i want to live. i want to be living, documenting, my own little slice of fantasy, i want to be rid of the constraints! i want to blog, goddamnit. so there's inspiration after inspiration, but where is the realisation?
i suppose i feel frustrated, stifled. i'm surrounded by mundanity. can't wait for year thirteen, the folio year - a chance to meet like-minded people.
what would you think if i just started posting photos of my folio? it'd be something, at least, wouldn't it. some kind of creative expression! i want to show you my life, the stream of imagery i seem to take in and chew up and spit out again at such a rate.

i just bought this

topshop, roughly AU$70.
now i just have to wait for it to arrive.
last night i went for a couple of drinks with friends at the toff, and then went to see the thod play at idgaff. today i'm going to see 'breakfast at tiffany's' and 'roman holiday' at the moonlight cinemas.
i quite like my outfit from yesterday, which is a shame, because i was too busy to take outfit photos.
maybe i'll recreate it and show you :)

thursday

that's what i look like today. hi!
we wore casual clothes to school to raise money for people affected by the fires in victoria.
we painted pretty much all day, and sat around in the sun eating fruit.
i took some photos of my friends, so i can paint them later.

some good things come from denmark.

copenhagen fashion week turned out some really interesting design - or, if not that much groundbreaking design as such was apparent, the styling and the way it was put together was really cool, inventive and laidback. these smaller fashion weeks often hold more appeal for me than the paris and london fashion weeks - maybe because you see more of the independent designers, or those that cater to a younger, street-conscious market.
